James E. Arrington Jr.
Jim is the managing partner and personal injury non-litigation manager. He has practiced law since 1975. Prior to joining the firm of Browning Morefield Schelin & Arrington in 1976, Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1969-71. From 1976-1982 he served as a substitute judge for the General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts in seven southwest Virginia counties. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from East Tennessee State University and his law degree from T.C. Williams School of Law in Richmond, VA. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Virginia.
Gregory R. Herrell
Greg is a partner and the manager of the social security disability department. He has practiced law since 1978. Prior to joining the firm of Browning Morefield Schelin & Arrington in 1979, he served as an attorney-advisor to an administrative law judge in Arlington, VA. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL. Greg is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Tennessee.
Michael R. Munsey
Mike became a partner in January 1993 and is the manager of personal injury litigation. He has practiced law since 1985 and worked as a law clerk and associate with the predecessor firm of Browning Morefield Schelin & Arrington. He received Bachelor degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Richmond and his law degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Mike is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Tennessee.
D. Edward Wise, Jr.
Ed became a partner in January 2001 and is the manager of the Virginia Workers' Compensation practice. He joined Arrington Schelin & Herrell in 1993 after graduating from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL. Prior to passing the Virginia State Bar Exam, Ed worked as a law clerk with the firm for two years. His Bachelor's degree is from East Tennessee State University. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee.
Brenda Woods Kiser
Brenda ("B.K." to the staff and her friends) joined the firm in 1989 as the administrator. Previously, she served as Administrator for Client Centered Legal Services of Southwest Virginia and worked in the legal department at the United Mine Workers' District 28 Office in Castlewood, Virginia. She received both her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Medical Secretarial Science Certificate from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise.
Brenda has served as Secretary, President-elect and President of the Western Virginia Chapter Association of Legal Administrators based in Roanoke, VA. She is a member of the National Association of Legal Administrators, the American Management Association, the National Notary Association, and completed the Bristol Leadership Tomorrow program in May 1998.
Brenda is responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm and supervises the support staff.
